What about renting a self-storage unit until you get the attic stairs

QUESTION:What about renting a self-storage unit until you get the attic stairs
put in? Or would that be a bad thing because it would remove the
incentive to get the stairs done? Or, is there extra room in your
parents' attic?
ANSWER: I've thought about that, but I'm such a procrastinator
that I figure if I get everything out of sight, I'll lose my
motivation to get someone hired to put in the attic stairs!
Then, pretty soon I'll have paid out as much in rent as it
would have cost to install the attic stairs ;-) The attic
stairs thing is working it's way up the to-do list (there's
been much to do after buying this house last summer) and is
pretty much at the top after a few other getting-ready-for-
baby things, so it shouldn't be long now. If only money and
time were unlimited...
As far as the parents' attic goes, yep, we've got
a few of the bigger things in there since it's so close.
They don't have room for it all, but it's a big help to have
those few things there.
