Is this and fogging the cylinders all that's necessary for winter storage in Illinois ?

QUESTION:

Could someone please help me with the details of my subject ? I have an '86 ChrisCraft with a 305 Mercruiser. Where can I find the drain for the water that's sitting inside the engine, and where can I fill it with anti-freeze ? Is this and fogging the cylinders all that's necessary for winter storage in Illinois ? Is there a bio-degradable anti-freeze that can stay in there for my first outing next spring ?

ANSWER:

-you have drains on both sides of the block, the exhaust manifolds also have a couple of drains, recirculating hose should be drained . You should have it done by a person who knows, if it is done incorrectly it will ruin the engine and that is not cheap to replace
-Pay a professional to show you how to do it the first time. You also will want to have the outdrive serviced when you winterize.
