I also looked into Sofia & Manhattan Mini Storage.
ANSWER: I've used both Chelsea and Manhattan Mini Storage. In my experience,
MMS is a real bull---- operation--they quoted me a specific price on
the phone, but once I was there with the movers and my stuff they
asked me for mysterious arcane sale codes which the salesman had
ostensibly given me but hadn't, and for a deposit equal to three
month's rent.
After some argument I did end up with the price I'd been quoted, but I
had to live with the huge deposit and the fellow I complained to later
on the phone was insultingly patronizing---"moving is a very emotional
time," he told me.
Oh, and the facility I was at didn't have enough carts.
Chelsea is fine, though their movers left me in the lurch twice.
