QUESTION:As some of you know we own a cabinet business, and have lately been thinking
about manufacturing scrapbooking and stamping storage cabinets, since there
appears to be a big need for them. Some of you saw my cabinets my hubby built
for me, but what I need to know from all of you is, if you could have your dream
scrapbooking storage cabinet built, what would it be like? The one I have hold
just about everything, and have a large drawer at the bottom that hangs all my
12X12! So, start dreaming and please post what you would like your storage
cabinet to have. We want to start designing a few different styles to hopefully
display them at Orlando's Memories Expo this year.
ANSWER: My girl friend bought some cabinets for her stamping products. They
are designed to use some the plastic picture frames that Jeffery Allen's and
other places sell. There is a top unit and a bottom unit. The top has
smaller plastic drawers. Hers is made out of oak and is very nice looking.
If I had one for my scrapbooking. I would want one with drawers to hold my
papers. 8 1/2x11 and 12 inch papers too. I use office in and out boxes to
store my paper in now, so that size drawers would be nice. Or just slots. (IF you know what I mean) Of course you need some deep drawers for heating
tools and other stuff that isn't small. I am finding out though that it is
nicer to have lots of smaller compartments. Helps with the sorting of colors
and stuff like that. Plus keeps lots of punches in the drawers where I can
open them and see at a glance what is there. If I need too. I can take the
whole drawer out and tote it upstairs.
