ANSWER: -Check out Hodges Army-Navy Store on Cobb Parkway in Marietts. They
have blue barrels with bung oenings for $34.95. They had about
twenty five last time I was there.
-Today I bought a closed top, blue food grade barrel at Chambers Drum
Company in Fairburn, GA for $8.50 - that's their price!! The catch:
I have to clean it out myself. Their reconditioned 55 gallon steel
drums go for a whopping $14.50 each (they clean them out for you).
They're got a lot of them too. After purchasing 3 steel and 1 plastic
(all 55 gal), my total bill with tax was $55.64. One of the owners
told me that she could be making a killing with all the Y2K stuff
going on - but chooses to keep her prices where they have been.
