I'm hoping to here what network storage solutions people are using and
how they have worked out.
QUESTION:This topic is too big to just google up some hits. Way too much
stuff out there to sift thru.

My situation is home video shop for event videography. 3 main machines
loaded for video work and a 4th main desktop (linux) for my other needs
like mail, browsing etc on a gigabit lan.
So like any videographer I'm feeling the need for storage, storage and storage.
All three video machines have faily big drives but I'd like a
centralized file storage/server. I'm thinking Terabyte or so.
ANSWER: -While looking or an inexpensive storage tower to attach to my single pc,
I ran across this from netgear.

I've also seen Sata towers that allowed hotswapping removable drives,
but that little netgear thing is avail for under $100.
-I use raw drives on a shelf and a USB2-to-IDE (or SATA) adapter cable.

IMHO, no other solution even comes close in terms of GB/$ or flexibility.
