Motorcycle Storage Garage
QUESTION:I live in a townhouse, and don't have a garage. I'm wondering how I'm going
to store away my new motorcycle during the winter months.
Is there such a thing as a public storage/garage for motorcycles? If so,
does anyone know of one in the VA/DC area.
ANSWER: -It depends on the area and what you want to pay. In college I got a great
deal on a regular public storage facility and stored it in one of their
locked rooms for $320 from November through February. I think the space was
something like 4'x8'. That was eons ago though and some storage facilities
may not accept motorcycles.
-When I lived in a townhouse I had a 8x8 shed in the back that stored
my bike in. You may also want to check with some "self-storage"
facilities. You'll probably have to empty all the fluids but that may
be a solution as well.
