CRM Mobile Storage Issues

QUESTION:

I have a couple of end users that have been using CRM mobile for quite sometime and since their Accounts/Contacts have grown quite large. They like to see their accounts/opportunities as well as all of their contacts when they sync. The subscription is now growing too large for the internal memory of the device and will not allow for all contacts to sync. Besides change views etc. the end user has purchased an additional memory storage card. What is the best practice to have the CRM data sync'd and stored on the memory card vs. the internal device? Do I need to uninstall CRM mobile and reinstall pointing storage to the card, or do install CRM mobile on the card? I could not find settings in the program to point the data else where in it's current installation or configuration. Please advise

ANSWER:

Correct, you will need to uninstall Microsoft CRM Mobile on the PDA then reinstall using another mobile installation item with setting to external storage card. Check out page 78 of the Mobile Implementation Guide, 8-4 "Creating a Microsoft CRM Mobile Installation Item" section: "If you want to store mobile databases on an external storage card or other location..."
