As the new owner of a mini-storage facility, I was wondering if any of
you experts could tell me if there are any padlocks produced that could
withstand the force of a large set of boltcutters?

ANSWER:
Disc padlocks work well for these places. They resist bolt cutters due to
the fact there is no real good place to get a bite with the cutter. I have
7 storage facilities under contract now that use disk padlocks. They call
and I cut them off with a Dremel tool and fiberglass reinforced wheel.
Not many crooks carry around these tools and a generator to provide
electricity. Tried the new cordless Dremel. Not to impressed. It was
inteneded for modeling and probably works fine on plastic and would. By
all means. Use the disc padlocks
