QUESTION:I may need a self storage place, approx the size of a garage, within
Gateshead/Newcastle shortly, preferably with 24 hour access (or upto 10pm
would be fine). I don't know how long I'll be needing it for, so I need it
as cheap as possible. Where's the cheapest?
ANSWER: There is a self-storage facility on the Felling bypass, just before the
Nissan Garage over the road from Heworth Metro.
I had a look at their website (if you mean 1st Storage Centres), but they're
not particularly cheap. I've had a look at U Hold The Key, which look
cheaper for a garage size area (18.75 for 160 sq ft., compared to 36.25
for 100 sq. ft. that 1st Storage Centres charge), but it could still work
out expensive if I need it for a while.
I seem to remember somebody on here mentioning ages ago that they rent
storage from their local council very cheap, but I can't find anything about this.
