Eames was a designer of furnature (like those cheapie potato
chip fibreglass chairs we had in the high school cafeteria).

(The ones with AM-FM-TV-phono), usually wider than tall, boxy.
But no reference to plastic radios, maybe he didn't do those?
ANSWER: Charles Eames didn't design radios. He was mostly involved in
interior furnishings. His style involved simple clean lines
with an emphasis on good design and functionality. When people
say "Eames style" they probably mean "Bauhaus" which was a
German school that proposed the same sorts of values. Bauhaus
style was applied to a wide variety of industrial design,
including home appliances like radios.
