Will I damage my games storing them in non-climate controlled storage?
QUESTION:I just rented a storage unit for my arcade machines and some of my
home-vid games (im in Texas so it does get a little hot). Im wondering
if the arcade machines can get damaged in any way. Im sure they'll be
fine this fall/winter, if summer is bad on them I might have to move
them to a climate controlled.
ANSWER: No problem with everything except all your backglasses will deteriorate in
cold weather. The paint WILL fall off.
Starting with red, then skin ciolor; in other words you could if you
removed all the glass and bring it inside. The cardboard cabinets will
absorb huumidity and swell.
Apart from this, no problem. Texas probably does not have these cold
nights of -40 degrees
