QUESTION:CD Storage Advice
I am going to buy a better storage system for my CDs. I need to rid
myself of the dreaded jewel cases that are overflowing my house.
I am considering two options: 1. Case logic Koskin 200/100 cases from Mass Music. I need 6 of them,
which would cost me about $150. 2. CD sleeves from the Jazz Loft. I need 600 of them, which will cost me
about $70.
If I consider only cost, the CD sleeves win.
I would appreciate opinions and comments from other whom have released
themselves from the jewel box's tyranny.
ANSWER: I've replaced my jewel cases with the CD sleeves, I purchased 1000 for $55.00 from bagsunlimited when ordering from them you need to explain that
you need gatefold sleeves that will hold the J card on one side and the CD
booklet on the other. You might ask to speak with Barbara she was very
helpful in making sure the sleeves I recieved were the right size. Twice the
sleeves I recived were not of the proper size, their catalog list two
different sizes neither of which will properly fit, it seems that
bagsunlimited is the outfit that makes the CD sleeves that others sell, so
what you want is to make sure they send you the sleeves of the sizes
requested by the middlemen. The have a website bagsunlimited.com but it has
been under construction forever. Your best bet is to call 1(800) 767-BAGS
Also, if you are going to CD sleeves I'd suggest purchasing paper CD
sleeves, I purchased 4000 from bagsunlimited for $123.65. They also sell
case logic cd sleeves.
