QUESTION:DVD / CD Storage Unit
I am looking for some sort of solution/furniture to store my CD and DVD
collection in. It is slowly growing, but currently I don't have anywhere to
store my DVD's other than on the floor against the wall and my CD's are
overflowing out of the crappy rotating tower thing I have.
What do people here use for storing their CD/DVD's? I'm after something that
can handle say up to around 400 cd's and say 200 DVD's plus - don't really
know how many i will end up with, about 50 and growing in a little over a
year.
Can anybody recommend anywhere in the Melbourne area that has some good
furniture to stick them in?
ANSWER: -We went to a local pine furiture shop and they make us up a custom
book shelf which fits cd's & DVD's. It is about 1 meter wide and has
5 shelves for CD's & 3 shelves for DVD's. We paid about $250.
Because it is custom made the shelves are the perfect distance apart,
it looks great sitting in the corner, and you can see where all that
bloody money went that I have been spending for the last 10 years!
-I bought some racks from Big W. They are 1 column, and hold 15 discs. They
interlock at the top and bottom so they can be stacked. $4.95 each.
