Also on my home improvement list is a bed skirt (my cats have torn up the
corner edge of my bed and I need to hide it), a new floor lamp and some
storage/display units to hold my Bratz dolls and Sanrio collection.
QUESTION:So far in the last few days I did a bit shopping. I am still shopping now. I am
so bad but I am buying some much needed home things. For a while (ok since I
moved out on my own 6 years ago) I have not had the best of furniture. I really
do try, I have hand me downs and things I can afford. Does it matter my nicest
couch to date is my metal frame futon? Or my nice sheet set comes from Sears?
Here is where the help me part comes in! My mother decided to sell Jennifer's
car partly because it hurt her to look at it in the parking lot daily and
another reason was Jen let the insurance lapse. The girl who bought it reminded
my mom of Jen so much, plus she even brought my mom flowers. I cried when the I
heard the car was gone but my mother assured me Jen was not happy with the car (99 chevy malibu - she wanted a restored classic malibu) and planned on selling
it. It also needed some work on it. My mom is going to give me a bit of money
from the sale which makes my heart ache. I want to buy something nice for my
apartment since Jen loved to decorate and always wanted people to have nice
furniture and linens. This way I will feel I am honoring her memory which is
important to me. So needing some bedside tables I have decided between 2 of
either of these for the sides of my bed. The first ones look a bit to serving
cart-ish for my tastes but they come assembled. How hard do you think the
second ones would be to put together?

looking for some frames to display some prints. I guess I can find those at
Dollar Tree which I love for small home things, they get some great stuff in!
This is what I have bought this week:
Staples.com: -office chair -Avery retractable perm. markers -Elmers school glue (vegan!) -6 outlet surge protector
Ebay winnings: -2 issues of Strawberry News (one for a friend) -6 lot of chic lit books -Deery Lou cell phone strap (I am so in love with cell accessories but my phone
is super tiny!)
Waldens: -Born Confused - Hidler (about an Indian teen/20 something trying to bridge
east and west cultures) -more chic lit fun
Dollar Tree: -2 packs of AAA batteries for my new dig. cam. -Kendy (remove the 'pute' to reply!)

t_id=122&rootdept=11&parent_id=98& A: I definitely prefer the second ones (not that you asked ;). They're less
expensive, and do you need the handles on the first ones?
It says they have MDF construction. I'm not sure what that is (maybe someone at
brylane could tell you), but I've put many pieces of furniture together in the
past and they're usually not too hard, as long as the instructions are fairly
clear. If worse comes to worse scan 'em and one of us could probably walk you
through it.

and use them, though I find they tend to collect cat hair (easy enough to pull
off, though--and as Erin stated, keeps the hair from collecting under the bed).
