ANSWER: Best bet is to check out various online yellow-pages type sites,
or order a complete set of outer-borough and northern county paper
yellow-pages books, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland etc.
Mini-storage rates tend to drop drastically the further you are from
mid and lower manhattan.
Manhattan Mini-Storage rates for their Riverside Drive facility
are at probably 30% lower than their Spring Street rates.
Westchester Mini-Storage rates are propbably half or less than lower-manhattan rates.
And pay very close attention to the security set-up...or lack thereof.
I know people who've had the entire contents of their storage units systematically
burglarized by other tenants who got away with it because they had the same
security access as my friend.
