I've tried talking to the storage center
but since they have a 24 hour access policy there is little they can do.
QUESTION:My apartment is next to one of those mini storage centers. Their driveway
goes past my bedroom
window. I've had a constant problem with moving vans arriving at all hours
to load/unload. The moving
vans are loud, and the people operating them seem to have little respect
for those that live around here. I've tried talking to the storage center
but since they have a 24 hour access policy there is little they can do.
Anyone with a key-code can come and go as they please. I like my apartment
and don't want to move. Who else might I file complaints with, or what else
can be done? Any suggestions?
ANSWER: If you are in the Los Angeles area there is a noise
control division within the police department which
will investigate .. other avenues would be to contact
the police at the time .. file a complaint with your local
city council member .. the City Attorneys office .. and
perhaps even the Beter Business Bureau .. not sure
about that last one though. I would certainly try the
others though .. if nothing else they may be forced
to change their policy much the same as most 24
hour fast food places cannot use the drive through
speakers after 10pm
